Falcons, Gunjur Utd eye maiden triumph in 2nd Division League

Falcons and Gunjur United are both eyeing for their first victory in the 2020-2021 Gambia Football Federation (GFF) Division Two League season when they clash in their week-three encounter today, Thursday at the Real De Banjul Football Academy Field in Basori at 4p.m.

The duo slipped to Latrikunda United and Samger in their last league outings after drawing their opening league games.

Both sides will defy to pummel each other to snatch their debut win in the country’s second tier.

Falcons and Gunjur United are currently struggling in the second division league with 1 point each after two league games.

Meanwhile, the Gunjur based-outfit lost to Falcons 2-1 at the Serrekunda East Mini Stadium before The Gambia Football Federation (GFF) declared the 2019-2020 second division league season null and void after President Adama Barrow extended state of public emergency in May 2020 in a bid to combat the spread of coronavirus pandemic in the country.
