Erinjang FC and Jarintong FC are both through to the semi-finals of the on-going Serrekunda West ‘nawettan’ league competition after winning their quarter-final matches at the Serrekunda West Mini Stadium.

Erinjang FC progressed to the last four of the Serrekunda West nawettan league competition following their 4-3 post-match penalty shootouts win over Gintos after regulation time ended 1-1.

Lamin Badjie gave Gintos the lead in the 28th minute of the match.

Erinjang fought back and levelled matters through Joseph Jatta in the 89th minute of the match from a fine header.

This pushed the match into post-match penalty shootouts, which ended 4-3 in favour of Erinjang.

Erinjang will now hope to succeed in the Serrekunda West nawettan league competition following their exit from the knockout competition.

They will now play against Bilbao in the league competition semi-final match on Saturday 18th November 2023.

Jarintong advanced to the semi-final of the Serrekunda West nawettan League competition following their 5-4 post-match penalty shootouts win over Babun Fatty after regular time ended 1-1.

Last year’s knockout cup finalist, Babun Fatty took the lead through Bilal Jarju in the 61st minute of the match after miscommunication between Jarintong goalkeeper and defender.

This pushed the match into post-match penalty shootouts, which ended 5-4 in favour of Jarintong.

Jarintong will now face Kanifing United in the semi-final match of the Serrekunda nawettan league competition.
