Elite Utd miss chance to close gap on Hawks in 2nd Tier

Elite United have missed the opportunity to close gap on Hawks in the 2023-2024 Gambia Football Federation (GFF) Division Two League following their goalless draw against Immigration in their week-29 tie played at the Live Your Dreams Sports Complex in Basori on Monday.

The Elite boys sat 5th place on the country’s Second Tier table with 44 points before locking horns with Immigration, who sat second-place from bottom on the Second Division League table with 24 points.

Elite United and Immigration both needed the maximum points to better their status on the country’s Second Tier table but the match ended goalless.

The Elite boys now occupy fourth-place on the Second Division League table with 45 points after 29 league matches.

Immigration still sit second-place from bottom on the country’s Second Tier table with 25 points in 29 league clashes.
