The association was established in 2007 and has been immensely contributing to the development of the community of and its environs.
The donated food items included 75 bags of 25kg rice, 75 5kg of refined cooking oil and 75 bags of 10kg sugar.
Speaking at the presentation ceremony held at the association’s head office in Fajikunda, President Modou Loum said the gesture is part of their annual Ramadan support needy.
He stated that they targeted one mosque but as a result of the covid -19 they came up the idea to support households together with their members in the Diaspora.
Loum noted that their target is to assist one hundred households.
Ebrima Jawara, Diaspora coordinator said they are a community based charitable foundation based in Fajikunda aimed at engaging into community services to help needy families.
He added that they installed community stand pipes and bakeries in Fajikunda and Sinchu Alagi.
Fallou Wadda, a beneficiary thanked the association for the gesture during this difficult time.
Adama Njie, another beneficiary commended the association for their foresight in helping the less privilege.
