The Eagle Star coach made the rekarks in an interview with Point Sports following his side’s 1-0 win over Gohh Bi in their third Group A match played on Wednesday.
Eagle Star FC scored the only goal of the match through Sheikh Hydara’s own-goal in the 47th minute of the second half.
The Bundung-based team made a great start to the Serrekunda East nawetan season, winning all three Group A matches (1-0) without conceding a goal so far.
Eagle Star is the only team in the ongoing SESDO nawetan to collect maximum nine points after three group stage matches. They beat newly promoted side, Timbuktu, Jola Kunda before defeating Gohh Bi respectively.
“I am very happy that we won our third group stage match against Gohh Bi. Collecting nine points after three group matches is something very important for us,” he said.
Coach Colley, who is fondly called Ramos thanked his technical team and players for their hard work, adding that they aim to surpass their last year’s semifinal record.
“We do not want to lose to any team this season. We will come all out with the same mentality in our last group game against Late Njuga. We want to win all our group games going into the round of 16,” he added.
He stated that collecting 12 points going into the round of 16 stage will help boost their mentality and tactics, saying that their their aims is to win both the nawetan league and knockout trophies this season.
