Brikama nawetan update

Brikama Sports Committee (BSC) kick started their nawetan season on 10th September 2023 following the completion of its knockout qualifiers.

Thirty-two (32) teams are battling for the coveted Brikama nawetan prizes after they were drawn into eight groups of four teams each.

Daru United played a 1-1 draw against Amasa FC during the opening game of the nawetan competition played on Sunday 10th September 2023.

Foday Bojang gave Daru United the lead in the 31st minute of the second half, before Bakary Jarjue restored parity for Amasa FC in the 70th minute.

Nema United beat Congo Bi 2-1 during the second nawetan match played early on Sunday.

Timbul Sanneh broke the deadlock for Nema United in the 34th minute before Musa Trawally added another in the 40+1 minute. Samseedy Jarju scored Conge Bi FC’s consolation goal in the second half.

Gidda Youths FC came from behind to record a comprehensive 3-1 win over Dangam FC during a game played early on Tuesday.

Ebrima Camara’s deflected freekick gave Dangam FC the lead in the 9th minute but Modou Lamin Mass, Salieu Baldeh and Abdoulie Samateh found the back of the net for Gidda Youths FC to ensure they secure the maximum points.

Real De Santos FA secured a narrow 1-0 win over Scovil FC during the late encounter played on Tuesday.

Ebrima Touray scored the only goal of the match in the 3rd minute. The goal is the fastest in the Brikama nawetan so far.

Bere-Chimo defeated Waa Farato FC 1-0 during the early game played on Wednesday.

Substitute Lamin Jatta alias “Sibi” inspired his side, Bere-Chimo after scoring the lone goal of the match after converting a penalty in the 64th minute.

Touray’s FA defeated Yarambamba FA 1-0 during the late encounter played on Wednesday.

The 2022 nawettan knockout runners-up, Touray’s FA won the battle of the Academy’s thanks to Ansumana Sanneh’s 24th minute header.
