Dahaba FC retain spot in 'nawettan' as BK Layout crash out

Dahaba FC have retained their spot in the Manjai ‘nawettan’ following their 4-3 post-match penalty shootouts win over BK Layout in their play-off match played at the Father Gough Sports Complex in Manjai.

This defeat has crashed BK Layout FC out of the Manjai rainy season biggest football fiesta.
A goalkeeping howler in the 9th minute of the match resulted in BK Layout's opening goal.

Dahaba FC restored parity in the 18th minute of the match.

This pushed the match into post-match penalty shootouts, which ended 4-3 in favour of Dahaba FC.

Debutants Uprising Stars  FC secured a place in the Manjai nawettan proper following their  4-3 on post-match penalty shootouts win over Zam Zam after regular time ended goalless.

Goalkeeper Sainey saved two spot kicks for Uprising Stars during the post-match penalty shootouts.
Both teams squandered goal opportunities in the 17th and 35th minutes of the match respectively.

BK Layout will hang their boots until next season following their elimination from the Manjai nawettan qualifiers.

Zam Zam missed their two spot kicks during the penalty shootouts.

Head coach of  Zam Zam subbed his starting goalkeeper for his backup custodian for the penalty shootouts but concede four spot kicks.
The defeat saw Zam Zam out of the Manjai nawettan qualifiers.

At the time of going to press, Father Gough Football Academy was playing against Invincible FC.
Meanwhile, organizing committee of Manjai Sports Association (MSC) has received a protest letter from BK Layout accusing Dahaba FC for fielding unqualified player.
