
The daylong coaching course brought thirty (30) coaches from Tujereng and its environs.
Speaking at the presentation, President of The Gambia Coaches Association, Kebba Jespa Touray, advised the newly certified coaches to be good ambassadors of the game.
He stated that coaches play a pivotal role in coaching ethics, adding the standards must be maintained for highly successful games in their various leagues.
He encouraged the D holders to register under the Coaching Association as there are numerous benefits to gain as coaches.
Course Director Lamin Sambou congratulated the team for their hard work, courage and discipline they exhibited during the seven day training.
Sambou challenged the qualified D holders to practicalise and pass on the knowledge gained to other coaches that would bring greater benefits for the game.
He stated their doors are opened for further assistance in various areas upon request.
Pa Suwareh Faye, one of the instructors of the course, expressed satisfaction for the manner in which the Kombo South neighbours collaborated with Tujereng Youths and Sports Development Committee to stage such a training for coaches in Tujereng.
Faye congratulated the only female trainee Coach Fatou Ndow for participating in the training.
Other instructors, Amadou Demba, Saidou O. Jeng and Alhagie Marong all praised the coaches for their hard work and patience during the course of the training.
Chairman Tujereng Village Development Committee (TVDC), Cherno Njie, expressed satisfaction in the manner in which the course was organised.
Njie stated that when the suggestion reached his committee to sponsor the 10 coaches identified, they quickly approved it without a second thought because they know it is an investment that will pay dividend in the near future.
First Vice Chairman of Tujereng Youth and Sports Development Committee (TYSDC), Lamin Gibba, extended appreciation to the GFF and WCRFA for approving the training for coaches in Tujereng.
Gibba thanked the course instructors for their time, energy and knowledge shared with new D license holders.
He extended special appreciation to Tujereng VDC for the financial support to Tujereng Youth and Sports Development Committee to organise the course for coaches in the village.
Samba Keita, a representative from the West Coast Region Football Association, applauded TYSDC for training coaches in Tujereng.
Keita encouraged the committee to go for C-License coaching course.
Team Captain of D Coaches, Omar Jabang thanked stakeholders, instructors, VDC, TYSDC and various communities for their contribution to success of the training.
The training was attended by Jerreh Manneh Tujereng, VDC Sports representative, Yusupha Saidy CEO of Enjoy Wifi, Ida Sowe of Tanji Sports Committee and TYSDC members.
At the end of the training coaches were awarded with certificates for their participating in the course.
