The duo are currently participating in the 2023 Serrekunda West ‘nawettan’ competition.
Speaking to The Point Newspaper, Momodou Suwareh alias Ma Suwareh, councilor for transport at Kanifing Municipal Council said the gesture is aimed at promoting grassroots football and also motivates youth in his municipality.
“We have talented youth but they lack support to showcase their talents.
‘‘On behalf of KMC, I feel it is necessary to support youth in order for them to showcase their potentials and skills ’’ Suwareh said.
Speaking on behalf of the beneficiary clubs, Yahya Suwareh described the gesture as significant and timely.
He urged Old Jeshwang United and Galaxy Football Club to make best use of the donated items in the on-going 2023 Serrekunda West nawettan season.
