Jibba said last year, the country’s football governing body launched the coastal town’s Mini Stadium construction project but work on the project is yet to commence.
He stated that GFF has drilled borehole and dug the foundation of the perimeter fence, adding that Gunjur has requested the sketch plan for the Mini Stadium but they could not get access to the stretch plan from the country’s football governing body.
Jibba revealed that he has written to Gambia Football Federation a couple of months ago asking them to explain the delay of Gunjur Mini Stadium construction project but the federation never replied him.
Councilor Jibba argued that Gunjur is not fairly treated by GFF, noting that the coastal town is part of The Gambia and the country’s football governing body.
‘‘I hope that they will honour my letter this time around and explain the delay of Gunjur Mini Stadium construction project,” Jibba said.
