Coach Sarr impressed with team performance

Modou Sarr alias Mbula has expressed delight with  his team’s performance during their quarter final match against Ebbeh Gi in the 2024 Wave sponsored Serrekunda East Sports Development Organisation (SESDO) ‘nawettan’ knockout.

Coach Sarr was speaking to reporters shortly following his side’s 4-2 post-match penalty shootouts win over Ebbeh Gi after regular time ended 1-1 at the Serrkunda East Mini Stadium on Friday.

“I want to thank God for reaching the quarter finals of the Serrekunda East knock out after a very bad start to this year’s Serrekunda East nawettan campaign,” Coach Sarr said.

He stated that nobody predicted that his side would reach the quarter-finals of this year’s Serrekunda East nawettan knock-out because they were fighting to avoid relegation.

“We are very proud. Our aim now is to reach the final and win the knock-out trophy in the Serrkunda East nawettan this season. There are some big teams out, we fear none,’’ Coach Sarr posited.

Coach Sarr said that they would fight to give their fans and well-wishers the best.

Coach Sarr praised budding Lamin Sarr for his brilliant football.

He advised Lamin Sarr to keep working hard to develop his talent.

Meanwhile, Abuko United defeated Maccassa 2-1.

Milan Rosseneri beat Border Bi 6-5 on post-match penalty shootouts after normal time ended goalless on Friday.

Bijankerr defeated Hand Over 1-0 on the same day.

Ebrima Bajinka scored for Bijankerr in the 67th minute of the match.

Rangers beat Medina 1-0 on Wednesday.

Ramy Sanyang scored for Rangers in the 47th minute of the match.

Koign Bi thumped United Stars 2-0 on Wednesday.

Seedy Sanneh and Yaya Njie were on score sheet for Koign Bi in the 25th and 63rd minute of the match respectively.

LN Border Bi defeated Magtab Warriors 5-4 on post-match penalty shootouts after regular time ended 1-1.
