The female tactician was speaking to reporters shortly after her side’s 2-0 win over TMT FC in their opening match of the 2022/23 Gambia Football Federation (GFF) Women’s League Division One played at the Late Ousman Saho Football Field in Old Yundum on Monday.
“We have been preparing for this game, knowing that TMT have young players who always fight up to the last minute.
“We knew that it was not going to be an easy game but we came with our game plan and it work well for us, so congratulation to my girls and hard luck to TMT.
‘‘Let them go back and work again because I know they can do it, ’’Coach Mbenga Nyassi said.
Coach Mbenga Nyassi stated that she was bit disappointed during the first half of the match, adding that her side created several goal scoring opportunities but failed to capitalize on them.
‘‘But I knew in the second half if the players had listen to the technical staff they would have made a difference and that was what they did.
Coach Mbenga Nyasi stated that it is too early to say anything, adding her target remains the same to lift the league trophy again.
“I know other teams prepared well but we will keep on fighting until the last day of the league season,’’ Coach Mbenga Nyassi pointed out.
