Coach Camara was speaking to journalists shortly after his side’s remarkable 3-1post-match victory over Gunjur after regulation time ended 1-1 in a tightly-contest final played at the Box Bar Mini Stadium in Brikama on Monday.
Gunjur opened the scoring through wing wizard Ismaila Badjie in the 43 rd minute of the match before Gunjur United striker Musa Joof levelled matters for Foni in the stoppage time.
Camara stated that it’s a great victory for Foni, adding that they were ready for the final.
He further stated that the performance of his side during the first half was not good, adding that Gunjur mounted pressure on his side.
Coach Camara revealed that he told his players during half break to pile pressure on Gunjur and his were able to level the scores in the dying minute of the match.
He thanked the fans for rallying behind the team during the course of the tournament.
Coach Camara also thanked fans for supporting the team.
Meanwhile, Musa Nyassi of Foni received the best player of the tournament award and Alieu Joof of Foni was awarded as the best goalkeeper of the tournament.
Coach Ebrima Camara of Foni won the best coach of the tournament.
Man of the match award went to Francis Gomez of Foni, while Musa Nyassi of Foni received the most discipline player award.
Abdou Wahab Dampha of Sanyang received the youngest best player award, while COSDA received the most discipline team award.
Musa Drammeh of Sukuta received the leading goal scorer award, while Lamin received the best fan club award.
