
Hajij was speaking during the 87th World Congress of International Association of Sports Press (AIPS) held in Rabat, Morocco.
"Dear media representatives, we have a common mission today to spread the story of our athletes, our competitions, through inspiring stories," Hajij said.
Emphasizing the important role of media in building awareness and legitimacy of sporting disciplines, Hajij invited information professionals to join the transformational dynamics undertaken by the CAVB since becoming head of African volleyball governing body in 2017. 2021.
Hajij leader has created a clear and ambitious picture of the state of African volleyball.
She highlighted the progress made in the fields of training, administrative modernization, digitization of processes and international disciplinary radiation through the organization of major competitions and active participation on global stages.
Hajij insisted that this process is only at its premise.
“We’re only starting a turning point,” she said, adding that CAVB is currently in talks with a major media outlet to ensure greater visibility of the discipline.
She emphasised the need for a strategic partnership between sporting institutions and media.
Hajij was presented with a trophy of recognition AIPS, saluting not only her visionary leadership at the head of continental volleyball and all the efforts she made to raise this discipline to the rank it deserves in Africa and the world.
In honour of Ms. Hajij, AIPS also celebrates a sport in full transformation, driven by a strong will to write and share a new page in African volleyball history.
