BST Galaxy, Elite Utd win, BK Milan held in GFF 2nd Division League

BST Galaxy and Elite United have secured vital triumphs, while BK Milan were held to a draw during the week twenty-one fixtures of the Gambia Football Federation (GFF) Second Division League played over the weekend.

BST Galaxy defeated Gunjur United 3-1 in a game played at the Lives Your Dreams Sports Academy in Basori.

Ousman Njie opened the scoring for BST Galaxy in the 29th minute of the match, before Haruna Rasid Njie leveled the scores for Gunjur United in the 43rd minute from penalty spot.

Modou Keita scored the second and third goal for BST Galaxy in the 73rd and 90+4 minutes of the match.

The BST Galaxy now recorded their 10th win of the season, while the Coastal Town Boys suffered their ninth loss of the season.

BST Galaxy's win moves them to 3rd position on the league table with 36 points, leveling with Elite United, while Gunjur United drops to 10th position with 28 points, leveling with Kanifing East and Bombada.

Elite United beat GPA 1-0 in a game played at the Banjul King George 5 Mini-Stadium.

Ebrima Jagne scored the game’s only goal in the 22nd minute of the match.

Elite United who recovered from their poor results now collected their 10th win of the season.

The defeat end The Ferry Boys three games unbeaten run in the league campaign. They suffered their sixth loss of the season.

The win moves Elite United to 4th position on the league table with 36 points, leveling with BST Galaxy, while GPA maintain 5th position on the league table with 33 points.

BK Milan played a barren goalless draw against Jam City in a game played at the Box Bar Mini-Stadium in Brikama.

The draw was Bakau Kachikally based-team's ninth draw of the season, while the draw was  Jambanjelly based team seventh draw of the league.

BK Milan maintain top spot at the top of the league with 39 points, leveling with TMT FC, while Jam City dropped to 6th position on the league table with 31 points.
