Bombada confounds Samger in 2nd Division League starter

Bombada on Wednesday thrashed Samger 3-0 in the opening match of the 2020-2021 Gambia Football Federation (GFF) Division Two league played at the Real De Banjul Football Academy Field in Banora.

Both sides came for the vital three points to fancy their chances of regaining promotion to the country’s top flight league next season following their demotion to the second tier some seasons ago.

Bombada netted three goals without Samger reacting to secure a resounding win to clinch the vital three points.

Kiang West thrashed Red Hawks 3-1 at the Jarra-Soma Mini Stadium while Steve Biko drew 1-1 with Jarra West at the Independence Stadium in Bakau.

Latrikunda United defeated Falcons 2-1 at the National Technical Training Artificial Turf Football Field in Yundum.

Bombada, Kiang West and Latrikunda United are all with 3 points each following their victories over Samger, Red Hawks and Falcons in their opening league fixtures.

Jarra West and Steve Biko are both with 1 point each after their 1-1 draw in their opening league match.

Falcons, Red Hawks and Samger are all without a point after slipping to Bombada, Kiang West and Latrikunda United in their opening league matches.
