President Barrow congratulated the team, technicians, president of The Gambia Football Federation (GFF), the ministry and the entire Gambian people for their support.

''I think you have made us proud, you have raised the Gambian flag high, it is always sweet to win but the sweeter against Senegal,” the president told the young footballers.

According to the president, he is a ‘big’ fan of football and “I follow football and despite my busy schedule I create time to watch football”.

President Barrow presented two million dalasi to The Gambia U-20 team after clinching the WAFU zone A U-20 football tournament trophy.
