Passamai FC cruise to Gunjur nawetan semis

Passamai FC on Sunday defeated Mariken FC 5-4 on penalties after the regulation time ended goalless in their quarterfinal match played at the Gunjur Upper and Senior Secondary School Football Field to sail to the semifinals of the 2021-2022 Gunjur ‘nawetan’ league competition.

Both sides came for victory to progress to the last four of the Coastal Town wet season biggest football showpiece but the match ended goalless.

This pushed the match into post-match penalty shootouts, which ended 5-4 in favour of Passamai FC.

The victory earned Passamai FC a spot in the semifinals of the 2021-2022 Gunjur nawetan league competition.

The defeat saw Mariken FC out of the Coastal Town summer biggest football festivity and will now hang their boots until next year.
