Coach Abdou Njie is currently training with thirty (30) players for the country’s prestigious community biggest football fiesta set to begin on 1st December 2022.
The city boys will use their training sessions to prepare themselves fit enough for the 2022 super nawetan zonal football championship following their woeful performance in the 2019 super nawetan zonal football tournament.
Banjul won the super nawetan zonal football tournament trophy several times but surrendered the 2016 super nawetan zonal championship trophy to Gunjur after slipping to the Coastal Town boys 2-1 in a tightly-contested final played at the Independence Stadium in Bakau.
Meanwhile, twenty (20) major nawetan zones are set to participate in the 2022 super nawetan zonal football tournament.
The super nawetan zonal football championship attracts spectators from Greater Banjul Area and other parts of The Gambia.
