The Banjul United and Brikama United drew 1-1in their week-eight fixture played at the King George 5 Mini-Stadium in Banjul on Sunday to register their third draw in the country’s Elite League season.
Momodou Jatta gave Banjul United the lead in the 21st minute of the match.
Brikama United fought back for an equaliser and levelled the scores through Modou Sanyang’s own goal during the match to snatch their third draw in the First Division League campaign.
Both sides now shared three draws, two wins and three defeats in the country’s Elite League.
Banjul United and Brikama United also shared the same number of goals difference (6) and are separated in the goals conceded.
Banjul United conceded seven goals, while Brikama United conceded ten goals.
The draw earns Banjul United ninth-place on the league table with 9 points after eight league outings.
Brikama United now occupy eleventh-place on the league table with 9 points, leveling with Samger and Waa Banjul respectively.
