Jallow's appointment came on the background of his unprecedented role played in the development of volleyball around Africa during his time as CAVB board member, where he successfully led Zone II and development of volleyball in the sub-region.
Jallow recorded incredible success during his time as president of the national federation.
He led Gambia to many international competitions, winning the African beach volleyball in 2019 and qualified the country to Commonwealth Games and African Games in 2023.
His leadership witnessed rapid development in the national league and youth development.
His leadership also improved sport administration.
Meanwhile, CAVB Sport Organising Commission is one of the pillars of the Confederation with the responsibility of organising and leading CAVB sport events, Continental volleyball and beach volleyball competitions.
