As Real go top of summit in GFF 1st Division League

Early pacesetters, Fortune FC have suffered their first defeat of the season, while Real de Banjul top the league table standing after thrashing Samger FC during their week-six fixtures of the Gambia Football Federation (GFF) First Division League played on Wednesday.

Fortune FC were beaten 1-0 at home by Falcons during a game played at the Brikama Box Bar Mini Stadium.

Bakary Touray scored the game’s only goal for Falcons during the first period.

The victory moved Falcons FC to 5th position with 11 points, while Fortune dropped to 4th position with 12 points, leveled with Steve Biko and Marimoo Pakfood respectively.

Real de Banjul thrashed Samger FC 5-0 during a game played at the Live Your Dreams Football Academy in Basori.

The result moved Real de Banjul at the top of the league on 14 points, two points above Steve Biko, Marimoo and Fortune respectively. Samger FC dropped to 10th position with 8 points, leveled with Gamtel FC.

Hawks were defeated 1-0 by Wallidan FC during their game played at the Banjul KG5 Mini Stadium.

The victory moved Wallidan to 8th position with 9 points, while Hawks maintained second from bottom (15th) position with 4 points, leveled with Waa Banjul.

 Team Rhino beat PSV Wellingara 2-1 during a game played at the Late Ousman Saho Field in Old Yundum.

The result put Team Rhino at 6th position with 10 points, leveled with GAF, while PSV Wellingara still languish at rock bottom (16th) position with 1 point.
