Alfusainey Jatta wins professional cup in Latvia

Gambian midfielder Alfusainey Jatta has won a professional cup in Latvia after helping his side FK RFS beat Liepaja 1-0 in the Latvian Football Cup final played on Sunday.

 

The 22-year-old Gambian international was instrumental for FK Rigas Futbola Skola (FK RFS) as he played the entire 90 minutes.

Lucas Villela Rezende scored the only goal of the game for FK RFS as they won the title from holders Liepaja.

Abuko-born player, Jatta moved to Latvian premier League side FK RFS in February 2021, after leaving Austrian side Pinzgau Saalfelden. He signed a one year contract with an option to extend.

The former Fortune FC player started his professional career in the US Soccer League with North Texas SC on loan in 2019 after signing for Czech Republic club, MFK Vyskov in 2018.
