The 23-year-old’s current deal at the club was expected to end next summer (June) but has now penned a new one-year contract extension with the Miners. His new contract is expected to run until 2023.
Manneh played a crucial part for his team in the 2020 season, which earned him the Player Discovery of the Year in 2020.
Although, Alasana Manneh has been in Górnik since July 2019, the past year (2020) was a breakthrough for him. This was noticed by fans of the 14-time Polish Champions (Gornik), who awarded the Gambian international with the title of Discovery of the Year.
Alasana Manneh won the award after gathering 65% of the vote. Second place Bartosz Nowak secured 35% of the votes.
Meanwhile, Manneh scored four goals and provided four assists for Gornik last season (one assist in the league and three in the Polish Cup).
