African countries stretch up as 2025 AFCON looms

African countries are stretching up, as the 2025 Total Energies Africa Cup of Nations edges closer.

The continent's biggest football showpiece is set to start next month in Morocco.

All qualified nations are currently preparing themselves ready for the 2025 Total Energies Africa Cup of Nations.

Defending Champions, Ivory Coast will contend to defend their 2023 Total Energies Africa Cup of Nations crown.

The Ivorians will face stiff competition from Morocco, Algeria, Senegal, Egypt, Cameroon and Nigeria for the 2025 Total Energies Africa Cup of Nations trophy.

Egypt have won the continent's biggest football showpiece trophy seven times - 1957, 1959, 1998, 2006, 2008 and 2010.

Cameroon have won the Africa Cup of Nations trophy five times - 1984, 1988, 2000, 2002 and 2017.

Ghana have won the continent's biggest football showpiece trophy four times -1963, 1965, 1978 and 1982.

Nigeria have won the Africa Cup of Nations trophy three times -1980, 1994 and 2013.

Ivory Coast have also won the continent's biggest football fiesta trophy three tomes -1992, 2015 and 2023.

Algeria have won the Africa Cup of Nations trophy twice -1990 and 2019.

Morocco, Senegal and Zambia have all won the continent's biggest football fiesta trophy once.

Meanwhile, the 2025 Total Energies Africa Cup of Nations is expected to bring together twenty-four (24) countries.
