2nd Division: GAF, Gunjur Utd fire blank in nail-biting clash

The Gambia Armed Forces and Gunjur United on Sunday fired blank in their nail-biting match in the 2025\2026 Gambia Football Federation (GFF) Division Two League.

The Soldiers drew goalless with the Coastal Boys in their week-five encounter played at the Hawks Mini Stadium in Kabakel.

Gunjur United, who knew that a defeat against The Gambia Armed Forces would dashed their hopes of surviving in the country's Second Tier for another season, made an astonishing start to the match and crafted goal scoring opportunities.

The Coastal Boys missed a penalty in the second minute of the match.

The Gambia Armed Forces launched some goal scoring attempts but failed to score thus the match ended goalless.

The Soldiers clasped 5 points after five league outings.

Gunjur United snatched only 2 points in five league outings.

The Coastal Boys must fight hard to win their upcoming league matches to improve their status on the Second Division League table.
