According to reports in Spain, FC Barcelona are currently keeping eyes on Gambian wing wizard Yankuba Minteh following his influential performance with The Gambia senior national team in the continent’s bi-annual biggest football showpiece.
The Catalan club will do everything possible to sign Minteh, who signed for the English Premier League side Newcastle United last summer from Danish side Odense Boldklub.
Minteh is currently on loan at Dutch Premier League side PSV Eindhoven from the English Premier League side Newcastle United.
FC Barcelona are also keeping eyes on other African players in the continent’s bi-annual biggest football jamboree to bolster their squad ahead of the 2024-2025 league season following their woeful performance in the 2023-2024 Spanish Laliga season.
Meanwhile, Yankuba Minteh featured for PSV Eindhoven in the 2023-2024 UEFA Champions League.
Minteh and his PSV Eindhoven side were eliminated in the group phase of Europe Elite football clubs competition following their dismal performance in the annual clubs championship.
