Mariama Cham is a dynamic and passionate advocate for social justice, with a notable career dedicated to supporting victims of crime and extrajudicial killings. She has played a critical role in The Gambia's Truth, Reconciliation, and Reparation Commission (TRRC), working tirelessly to address past injustices under the previous government.

With a wealth of experience in social work, Mariama has emerged as a powerful voice for women's empowerment and the fight against gender-based violence. Her communication skills have enabled her to effectively engage in community outreach and leverage social media to amplify her message. Mariama's commitment to gender equality is evident in her efforts to ensure women hold equal positions in society alongside men.

In addition to her work for women's rights, Mariama has devoted significant energy to advocating for children's rights. Her collaboration with the Child Protection Alliance and the Department of Gender, Children, and Social Welfare has furthered her impact in this critical area.
