Tributes mark milestone birthday for Gambian Entrepreneur David Jeng

Colleagues, associates and well-wishers across Africa’s entrepreneurship and innovation ecosystem have paid glowing tributes to Gambian entrepreneur David Jeng, who marked his 30th birthday on January 17.

Jeng, known for his exceptional work in intellectual property, enterprise development and youth empowerment, milestone drew measured reflections on his contributions and professional ethos.

As he marked his 30th birthday, the media erupted in a symphony of accolades and well-wishes for this titan. Two of the individuals who have collaborated closely with him offered remarks on the occasion.

Born on January 17, 1992, in Banjul, Jeng attended Methodist Preparatory School and Gambia Methodist Academy before completing a Bachelor’s degree in Marketing and Finance at the University of The Gambia.

He later earned a Master’s degree in Intellectual Property from Africa University, where his research focused on trademark use among SMEs in The Gambia.

His academic journey also includes advanced coursework in Patent Law and Global Public Health at Harvard Law School.

Jeng serves as the Founder of Bliss Executives and the Managing Director of Chapman Xpress Financial Services, contributing to capacity-building programmes, SME support systems, and innovation-driven training initiatives across multiple African countries.

While the birthday was a quiet personal event, the reflections shared by colleagues underscored his growing influence within the region’s business and innovation landscape.
