UTG Staff Association elects Dr Touray president unopposed

Following an Elective Congress on Wednesday 29th March 2023 at the UTG Main Hall in the Kanifing Campus, a five-member executive has taken charge of the University of The Gambia Faculty and Staff Association (UTGFSA). Dr. Ensa Touray, who served as the Vice President in the previous executive was electedunopposed to the presidency.

The new executive members are Dr. Ensa Touray-president (School of Arts and Sciences); Dr. Ebrima-Vice President School of Agriculture and Environmental Sciences); Mr. Yorro Njie - Secretary-General (Directorate of Sports and RecreationAssoc.) Professor Matarr Njie-Financial Controller (School of Business and Public Administration) while Mr Alhagie Ceesay remains in his former position as the Auditor. Their tenure will run from 2023 – 2025.

In his remark, president-elect Dr. Ensa Touray thanked the outgoing executive for steering the association's affairs with utmost sincerity and commitment.

"We will continue to work on improving the welfare of the staff of the University in all aspects", he said while reminding his team of the daunting tasks ahead.

He concluded his remark by giving a brief synopsis of some of the past activities and achievements of the Staff Association.
