The gesture aims to enhance quality health service delivery in the area as well as equip the facility with medical drugs.
It could be recalled that recently the Sare Gubu Basirou locally based organisations offered free medical service to residents and satellite villages.
However, the organisations had remainders of medical drugs and decided to present them to the district health centre to help patients.
In his remark, Saidou M. Bah, auditor for SGSA cum healthcare officer said the Sare Gubu Basirou local based organisations deemed it necessary to present the medication to enhance health in the area.
Bah also advised the health facility to use the donated item judiciously.
Lamin Sabally, officer-in-charge of Diabugu Bataba Health Centre commended the people of Sare Gubu Basirou for the gesture. He added that the gesture will go a long way in helping the health facility and patients.
“We are all humbled and have appreciated your gesture. Not only Government should support when it comes to health matters, the community also need to support,” he said.
He added: “This gesture is a great honor to us (Diabugu healthcare officers). To be honest, even today we were talking about how to prepare essential medicine for the procurement. But when you called and informed me about the gesture. I said to my people thank God.”
The moment you leave we are going to start giving the medication to patients,” he concluded.
