The items were presented to the school on behalf of the Organisation by Dr Winston O. Ceesay, worshipful master of Windward Lodge.
In presenting the materials, he said: “it is our aim and objective to give charity and as such we decided to reach out to Methodist Special School,” adding that their visit made them believe the school was the best place to offer support after seeing differently abled students.
He commended teachers for their great work, noting that it is challenging but they are not just teaching the students but also changing their lives positively.
He described their assistance as modest, saying in future they intend to support the school in a better way.
Head Teacher for Methodist Special School Rev. Mrs. Lucy Sarfo expressed gratitude to donors for considering the school and sharing with them.
She stated that the school is a subvented institution and a school for children with different disabilities.
She said differently abled persons have the right to live and can also contribute meaningfully to society.
She highlighted that in thinking about children her school also means thinking about your own child and therefore thanked donors.
She went on to say that the children really deserve and needed the support.
She assured donors that the donated items will be put into best use to benefit the children.
