The doctors and graduates were received at the Banjul airport by the ambassador of the largest of the Antilles here, Rubén G. Abelenda, and the head of the BMC, Dr. Anaris Martha Odio Mosqueda.
They were also welcomed by the president of the Gambia-Cuba Friendship Association, Joseph Modou Peh Grant, and on behalf of the young Gambian graduates from the Caribbean island, the recent graduate Dr. Habibou Jallow.
The new professionals will provide their services in different regions of the country, as will another group do that is scheduled to arrive in November to further increase the CMB in this African nation.
The historical solidarity and brotherhood between Cuba and the Gambia intensify at a time when the key verb is to cooperate, as the president of the oldest Caribbean archipelago Miguel Diaz-Canel stated a few days ago.
