MKAC distributes food items to disaster victims in LRR

Mansankonko Area Council (MKAC) on Tuesday distributed food items to disaster victims within the Lower River Region.

The support from MASHAV Israel Embassy in Dakar, was aimed at ameliorating the living condition of vulnerable households affected by disaster in the area.

The vice Chairman of the Council, Mr Almamo A.K. Ceesay expressed his council’s readiness to support people in their region, assuring that the council would continue to provide services to their tax payers.

Momodou B.K. Ceesay, Disaster Coordinator of LRR, said Mansankonko Area Council is doing their work by ensuring that vulnerable disaster victims in the region are supported.

He thanked the Council and the Israel embassy for their fruitful partnership.

The CEO of the Council, Papa Sait Ceesay acknowledged with delight the support from the Israel embassy to the people of the Region.

He disclosed that the Chairman of the Council Mr. Landing B. Sanneh and his councilors are always committed to bringing about development projects, which include basic support to the tax payers in the region.

The food distribution, he said, is free from politics and once again thanked Israel embassy for the gesture, which he described as ‘timely’.
