One Alagie Sowe, a 29 old and a father of two, who is currently battling with a severe kidney disease for the past seven months, is seeking urgent assistance to undergo overseas treatment as his health condition fast-deteriorates by the day.

A medical report from the Edward Francis Small Teaching Hospital (EFSTH) dated 21 March, 2024 and obtained by The Point stated that the 29-year-old, a resident of Lamin in the West Coast Region, has been undergoing two nephrology follows at the clinic due to deranged kidney function.

“Additionally, Sowe was said to have had a sore throat for several episodes of about ten years. After the repeat sore throat, he developed swelling of his ankles with foaming of urine. Progressively, he noticed his urine to be scanty which was associated with hiccups bleeding from the nose.”

In an interview with the reporter, Alagie Sowe, said the ongoing treatment has become a significant financial burden.

“Therefore, I am left with no option than to seek assistance in order to cover medical expenses. This is critical to my continued well-being and quality of life.”

“Despite my best efforts to manage the costs, I find myself struggling to meet the necessary expenses for medications, dialysis, and other essential treatments, hence the support from anybody would greatly alleviate the financial strain and allow me to focus on my health and recovery,” he pleaded.
