The people of Makumbaya village in Kombo North, West Coast Region have applauded Water for Africa City Centre Dawaa for their magnanimity in supplying the village with quality and safe drinking water.

Water for Africa City Centre Dawaa turned Makumbaya village wells into boreholes in their quest to make water accessible and in a more convenient manner to the local dwellers.

Speaking on behalf of Makumbaya community, Abdou Sanyang, expressed appreciation to the benefactor for supporting the village with safe drinking water supply.

The community of Makumbaya, he said, needs a school, saying the village is five kilometers away from the nearest Lower Basic School.

‘‘We are praying to Water for Africa City Centre Dawaa for providing our village with quality and safe drinking water, ’’ Sanyang said.

He, however, appealed to the benefactor to expand the boreholes to at least ten, to ease the daily nightmares associated with accessing water in the village.
