The donation of the cheques was alongside with presentation of medical items with the view to prevent people from the viral diseases that have posed threat to the whole world.
The beneficiaries include WCR covid 19 taskforce, received cash of fifty thousand dalasi (D50,000) and medical items worth forty thousand (D40,000.00), Gambia for 5years and peace building received (D15,000) and medical items worth five thousand dalasi , Sukuta Covid19taskforce received ten thousands dalasi (D10,000.00) while Fabakary Ceesay foundation received ten thousands dalasi (D10,000.00) which was purely sponsored by Kombo Real Estate Agent through the influence of Musa Suso.
The presentation that took place over the weekend at Musa Suso resident in Sukuta was attended by some senior staff of Kombo Real Estate, and some key beneficiaries and the media.
Speaking at the presentation ceremony the Chief Executive officer Kombo Real Estate Agent , Sanna Jassey said his company is not only profit making entity but also deem it fitting to support government development agenda . He said therefore, Kombo Real Estate deem it necessary to support the vulnerable people within our community in it quest to fight against this deadly pandemic in our country as this pandemic has posed a threat to the whole world which has caused negative impact to the livelihood of the people.
He said considering the current situation of this hardship , businesses are lockdown, earning become a major problems, health wise remain a cause for concern, Kombo Real Estate feel it prudent to come up with strategies to support organizations that will be going to the grass-root to sensitizes the general public about the existing of this pandemic . He added that the Kombo Real Estate feel it is part of their cooperate social responsibility to support this various organization to combat the deadly disease.
We also feel it necessary not only to sell and get money from people but also to plough back to them when the need arises. Mr. Jassey further added that Kombo Real Estate will not relent its effort to support organization in the fight against this pandemic disease.
Mr. Jassey also dilated on the significant of health without which no business shall take place, therefore it is good that all hands on deck to combat this wisely spread deadly disease.
Also speaking Musa Suso Chief executive officer Suso Foundation acknowledged the effort of Kombo Real Estate for this benevolent gesture, saying that all this is part of compliment government effort in the fight against Covid19. He said this donation is all about helping government in the eradication of this pandemic which is a global concern and has spread wide negative impact within the continents.
Mr. Suso further described this pandemic as a very dangerous disaeases that has no boundary and is an airborne disease. It is therefore, I will urged all and sundry to give proper attention in the protection of this disease through following or adhere to the WHO Guidelines,. He also called on the need people to observe social distancing, regular hands washing, with soap, sneezing,coughing, and avoid hands shake. He added that this donation has come at a right time and commended the donor for this giant step while described Kombo Real Estate as a one of the most reputable leading estate in the Gambia. He also cited that this donation will go a long way in helping the people in the fight against COVID19. I am especially delighted and much grateful to Kombo Real Estate benevolent gesture or responding to his request in supporting the beneficiaries in this derive.
For his part, Ebrima sorrie Bah a Secretary General Gambia for 5years and peace building applauded the leadership of the Kombo Real Estate for its foresight in donating civil society organization in this country to fight against COVID19. He equally commended the CEO for suso foundation for making this donation a reality while assuring the donor that the donated medical items will be reach at the most vulnerable people and assure that his organization will engage in future sensitization to the grass root about the preventive strategies in combating the pandemic.
