The new association seeks to foster and promote understanding and cooperation among its members and other groups or societies so as to contribute their quota towards national development.
It comprises ambitious women who are already engaged in productive small and medium enterprises such as; tailoring, soap making, food processing, tie and dye, among others.
The non-political association intends to do this through fund raising and other genuine ventures, including undertaking some charity works, initiate and execute programmes designed to benefit the community and to give assistance to the needy.
The association is already registered with the AG- Chambers and is ready to contribute to the development of its members.
Addressing members of the association, who recently adopted him as father at his Busumbala residence, Musa Nyockeh, expressed delight to be associated with the event, further calling on members to close their ranks and unite as one.
He commended them for the trust and confidence reposed in him in adopting him as their father, further assuring them of his support to them when the need arises.
To that end, he donated fifteen chairs to the association as a starter to use during their weekly meetings.
For his part, Muhammed Sanneh, an adviser to the association, underscored the importance of unity and cooperation in achieving any meaningful result.
He reminded the executive of the association that leading a group is not an easy task and called on them to be committed and be always open for criticisms.
Sanneh thus challenged members to strengthen their relationship and foster understanding and be always law abiding and stay true to their constitution.
Returning gratitude to their adopted father, Ndey Saine, president of the Association, commended their adopted father- Musa Nyockeh for accepting the honour.
She also thanked him for donating chairs to the association to be sued for their weekly meetings.
