The 4Ps circle is geared towards building the resilience of small holder producers mostly found in rural areas who have limited or no resources to boost their production and productivity to ensure that their lives and livelihoods improve the necessary skills and training in the farming industry.
The focus of the model is hinged on ensuring that there is a win-win situation in all aspects of the venture to ensure smooth and fair play for all partner actors engaged in the large-scale processing or marketing of agriculture produce as well as small holder producers.
Mamour Alieu Jagne, 4Ps Project Director said the objective of the validation was to utilize the templates as a basis for all contractual agreements that involved the ROOTS project and beyond when it comes to marketing.
He encouraged participants to take advantage of the templates and make a foot print out of it.
Fatou Jammeh Touray, Deputy Permanent Secretary Programs at the Ministry of Agriculture urged consultants and those behind the project not to afford to fail.
She expressed her ministry’s readiness to support them to ensure they succeed.
She explained that the project is a flagship project which is a component that will help the project to succeed.
She pointed out public-private partnerships plays a critical role in every country’s development and as such the importance of such partnership cannot be over emphasized.
