Citizens Alliance holds regional congress

In line with its constitution, Citizen Alliance recently convened its regional congress at a ceremony held in Janjanbureh, Central River Region. The event attracted party supporters from various parts of the region.

Welcoming delegates, Ebrima Suwareh, Regional campaign manager for Citizens Alliance, explained the rationale behind the congress and that it will also help them to promote the agenda of the party to its supporters.

He called on all to work towards the attainment of the party’s objectives, further thanking the leadership of the party in making sure that the congress is held.

Also speaking, Gibbi Dem, Youth Leader Citizen Alliance reminded some of the achievement registered since its inception, saying the party was officially registered on the 29th November, 2019 with the aim of promoting nation building.

He called on all the party militants to put in mind that Citizen Alliance has joined the government and that being the case, there should be no form of political violence among the members.

Basiru Manka, national Campaign Chairman Citizens Alliance disclosed that the main aim of establishing the party is to promote national development and improve the living standard of the people in the country.

To that end, he called on the people of CRR to continue supporting the ruling party and to come out in large numbers to vote in the upcoming presidential election.

Manka however, called on people to reason that politics is beyond singing and dance, but they should partake in any initiative geared towards exercising their political rights.

Both Saidou Jallow regional youth mobiliser and Jai Faal, deputy regional women mobiliser, expressed similar sentiments.
