CETAG, Ocean 5 Gambia Chapter validation workshop wraps up

Gunjur Conservationists and Eco-tourism Association (CETAG) and Ocean Five (5) Gambia Chapter recently concluded a two-day validation workshop on Defending Artisanal Fisheries against Destructive Industrial and Artisanal Fishing at the Halahin Eco Lodge in Kartong, West Coast Region.

The validation workshop brought together fishermen, Navy, Councillor of Gunjur Ward, Momodou Charreh Gibba, member of the National Assembly Select Committee on Fisheries and journalists.

The validation workshop was aimed at reviewing and assessing Defending Artisanal Fisheries against Destructive Industrial Fishing Practices to gather stakeholder feedback and identify lessons learned for future improvements.

In his closing remarks, Ahmed Manjang, a member of Gunjur Conservationist and Eco-Travel Association (CETAG), hailed the participants for attending the validation workshop.

Abdoulaye Ndiaye, a representative from Blue Ventures, thanked the participants for participating in the validation workshop.

Eliman Sarr, a participant, applauded Gunjur Conservationist and Eco-Travel Association (CETAG) and Ocean Five (5) Gambia Chapter for organising such an important forum.
