Fabakary Tombong Jatta who was speaking recently during an exclusive with Star FM, affirmed that politics is all about interest.
“In politics you cannot be alone forever. The coming together in politics is determined by interest (“give and take”). So for us, we are open to any discussion with any political party but we have interest to protect like any other political party.” he said.
Jatta indicated that in politics no one can say that they will not be open for discussion, adding that it is a matter of whether the other party(ies) will agree with the interest attached.
“If the UDP and the APRC want to have a discussion it would be fine, but we (APRC) have an interest to protect. If the UDP or any political party can agree with that then we are always open for discussion with them. And if they cannot agree with our interest, then we all go our ways.”
He added; “We will not reveal the full interest of the APRC party in the media now except if anybody or political party show interest and willing to come for discussion.”
