Africa Children International School celebrates academic milestones at colourful graduation

Africa Children International School has marked a significant chapter in its educational journey with a vibrant graduation ceremony held at its Brusubi campus, honouring Nursery 3 and Grade 6 pupils.

The event, rich in colour and enthusiasm, drew a large turnout of proud parents, guardians and distinguished guests, showcasing both academic achievement and student talent.

Speaking on behalf of the Headmaster, Mrs Joyce Jackson described the day as a “momentous occasion” in the school’s history. She extended heartfelt congratulations to the graduates and commended all attendees for their unwavering support. The ceremony featured a range of presentations by students from across year groups, reflecting the school’s holistic approach to education.

“For those unfamiliar with Africa Children International School, we are a learning institution devoted to nurturing students academically, socially, spiritually and mentally,” Mrs Jackson said. “Our vision is to help children realise their highest potential in every sphere of development.”

She highlighted the school’s commitment to providing a safe and conducive learning environment, citing its well-structured facilities and robust security measures. In addition to notable academic progress, Mrs Jackson praised the development of extracurricular programmes, including martial arts and music, commended the School for the upgraded library and infrastructure improvements.

Gratitude was extended to those who contributed to last year’s graduation and prize-giving ceremony, with Mrs Jackson encouraging interested parents to contact the administration regarding the school feeding programme. She also announced the integration of practical ICT training into the curriculum.

“We recognise the importance of technology in modern education,” she affirmed. “Our students are now receiving hands-on training in various ICT disciplines, equipping them with essential life skills.”

Acknowledging the role of parents and guardians, Mrs Jackson expressed appreciation for the timely payment of school, excursion and graduation fees, and emphasised the shared goal between educators and families to deliver quality education. She also revealed plans to host summer classes during the upcoming holiday to help students sustain their academic momentum.

In his remarks, Cluster Monitor Mr Musa Jammeh applauded the dedication of the Headmaster and teaching staff. “I am truly impressed by the level of English spoken by the young learners, it feels as if they are already university students,” he said, describing it as a testament to the school’s serious commitment to excellence.

Mr Jammeh encouraged parents and guardians to continue supporting the institution and urged prayers for the school's leadership and staff in their mission to shape the future of the next generation.

The graduation ceremony not only celebrated achievements but also reaffirmed Africa Children International School’s growing reputation as a centre of excellence in The Gambia’s education landscape.
