The organisation since its inception has registered numerous humanitarian interventions that continues to impact the lives of many Gambians.
The event brought together various stakeholders and government officials. 3DGam, part of 3D and 3DGlobal, is a registered Foundation in Gambia, aimed at improving the lives of disadvantaged people in communities, especially in rural Gambia.
Its objectives include to give support in the areas of empowering women through micro-finance, support and encourage horticultural, poultry and small ruminant animal productions to improve both income and nutrition of local populace, likewise rendering support in the education sector.
Speaking on behalf of Chairman of 3DGam, Alasan Bah, the 3DGam Homeland General and Deputy Secretary, recalled that the foundation was founded in 2017 by Gambians in UK with aims to provide support for information, communication and technology equipment and resources.
Bah said this entails providing educational material to enhance teaching and learning at schools; providing financial support for community development-oriented projects.
He stated that it also promotes and enhances useful socio-cultural practice in The Gambia.
The non-profit organisation, he added, has been helping people in the areas of human rights, health, education among others.
He expressed gratitude to all partners and benefactors of the organisation in implementing its humanitarian services.
Bartholomew (Bartha) Marong, director at the National Records Service, disclosed that driven by science and clever discoveries, medicine has prolonged and enriched the quality of the lives of mankind, and each branch of medicine has its own unique influence on society.
“We know that in healthcare delivery, medical supplies care plays a pivotal role, serving as backbone of quality patient care and 3DGam having grassroot operation right across The Gambia, identified 33 health centers right across the remotest part of The Gambia for the supply of medical materials.” he revealed.
He said that these materials include baby diapers, towels, detergents, First Aid Materials, dressing materials, supplements for babies, sanitary pads, baby clothes, bed sheets and beds for labour wards.
Ebrima Sisawo, Permanent Secretary at the Ministry of Local Government and Lands said since the launch of the Human Rights Delivery Project in July 2018, in partnership with Youth for Human Rights International and facilitated by Tracey from the International Association of Scientologists, this noble foundation has initiated a movement that is shaping the future of our nation.
Other speakers included Lamin Camara, Permanent Secretary at the Ministry of Petroleum and Energy and Demba Ali Jawo, former Information Minister.
