Prosecutors alleged that sometime in the month of November, 2023, at Yonna Forex Bureau at Bakoteh, in the Kanifing Municipality of the Republic of The Gambia, she, being employed by Yonna Forex Bureau by virtue of her position, stole the sum of D6,432,000, being the property of Yonna Forex Bureau.
Following her plea of guilt, Magistrate Colley asked the prosecuting officer, Sub-Inspector Salimina Kebbeh, to provide the court with the facts of the matter.
Sub-Inspector Kebbeh, who represented the IGP, told the court that the file of the case was not with him and urged the court to grant him an adjournment to provide the court with the facts.
His application was granted and the case was subsequently adjourned to the 27th February, 2024.
