The facility however is expected to be delegated to a private Company and official partner of the Embassy of Spain called BLS International, located in Manjai.
The Point also gathered that BLS is headquartered in New Delhi, India, “a specialist service provider of Outsourcing of Visas, Passports, Consular, Attestation and Apostille Services to the Diplomatic Missions across the World”.
It is anticipated to accept around 100 applicants monthly.
Meanwhile, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, International Cooperation and Gambians Abroad also confirmed that the Consulate of Spain in Dakar, Senegal has established a Visa Collection Center in The Gambia for Schengen Visa Applicants (Tourist).
“This will enable Gambians applying for Schengen Visitor’s Visa to do their applications in Banjul instead of travelling to Dakar, Senegal.”

BLS International which is described as a “trusted partner with the Diplomatic Missions for administrative and non-judgmental tasks” is currently serving the Diplomatic Missions in 22 countries via 101 offices.
