The Supreme Court was expected to deliver its verdict today Friday, October 6 2023 on whether the agency has the authority or not. The judge, against all legal odds, decided:
The agency does have the authority to reject Sonko nomination papers without any justification or legal basis on how he reached that conclusion.
His decision leaves everybody including the prosecutor in shock and disbelief. It is now official. Sonko will not be a presidential candidate based on Executive order, executed by the judiciary without any jurisprudence.
