The Congress also served as a platform for delegates to discuss the Councilโs future priorities, with calls for greater collaboration between religious leaders and government institutions.

Ebrima Sisawo, Permanent Secretary at the Ministry of Lands, Regional Government and Religious Affairs, said religious institutions have a key role in shaping character and strengthening the moral foundations of society as Gambian institutions are being tested and rebuilt.
