Senegal’s new prime minister unveils cabinet

The Senegalese new government based on the Decree of April 2, 2024, in appointing the Prime Minister and the Government and based upon the proposal of the Prime Minister in accordance with Article 1 of the said decree, the following people were appointed.

The new government noted that the appointments and promotions will be based on merit and qualifications.

Mrs Yassine Fall: African Integration Minister and Foreign Affairs.

General Birame Diop: Minister of Armed Forces

Mr. Ousmane Diagne: Minister of Justice, Guardian of the Seals.

General Jean-Baptiste Tin: Minister of the Interior and Public Security.

Mr. Birame Souleil Diop: Minister of Energy, Petroleum and Mines.

Mr. Abdourahmane Saad: Minister of Economy, Planning and Cooperation.

Mr Sheikh Diba: Minister of Finance and Budget

Mr Malik Ndiaye, Minister of Infrastructure, Land and Air Transport

Mr Daoud Ngom: Minister of the Environment and Ecological Transition.

Mr. Amadou Moustapha Ndiak Saré: Minister of Vocational Training, Government Spokesman.

Hon Sheikh Tizian Ndiaye minister of Water and Sanitation.

Mr. Alioun Sal: Minister of Communications, Telecommunications and Digital.

Mr. Elhaj Abdourahmane Diouf: Minister of Higher Education, Research and Innovation.

Mr Serine Gueye Diop, Minister of Industry and Trade.

Madame Fatou Diouf: Minister of Fisheries, Maritime and Port Infrastructure.

Madame Maïmouna Diaye: Minister of Family and Solidarity.

Mr Yankoba Diemi: Minister of Labour, Employment and Institutional Relations.

Mr. Balla Moussa Fofana: Minister of Urban Planning, Local Authorities and Territorial Planning.

Mr. Moustapha Mambagirasi: Minister of Education.

Mr Ibrahim Sy: Minister of Health and Social Action.

Mr. Olivier Boukal: Minister of Public Service and Public Service Reform.

Mrs Fadi Diengay: Minister of Youth, Hope and Culture.

Mr. Mahbouba Diagne: Minister of Agriculture, Food Sovereignty and Animal Husbandry.

Mr. Alioun Djon: Minister of Microfinance and Social Economy and Solidarity.

Mr. Montaga Djaou: Minister of Tourism and Crafts.

Pursuant to Article 2, Secretaries of State shall be appointed:

Mr. Ahmadou Cherif Djouf: Secretary of State to Senegalese from outside.

Mr Ibrahim Tchab: Secretary of State for Small and Medium Industries Development.

Mr. Mohamed Talandaou: Secretary of State for Urban Planning and Housing.

Mr Alpha Ba: Secretary of state to the co-operative and peasant management.

Mr Bakarissa State Secretary for Culture, Creative Industries and Historical Heritage.

This decree will be published in the official gazette of the Republic of Senegal. Done in Dakar on April 5, 2024
