Samuel Sarr still in trouble over alleged embezzlement of 8B CFA

Samuel Sarr will spend his first night in prison! After being the subject of a double return of the prosecution, the former Minister of Energy of Abdoulaye Wade was charged and placed under arrest warrant by the investigating judge of the 2nd office of the high court of Dakar. He is being prosecuted for misuse of corporate assets, Seneweb learned from his lawyer.

Mr. Sarr was arrested last Friday at the Blaise Diagne international airport in Diass by the air and border police, following an opposition to leaving the territory launched by the gendarmes of the SR of Dakar. He is cited in an alleged embezzlement of eight billion CFA francs.

The Dakar flagrante delicto court found Moustapha Diakhaté guilty of the offences of insults through a computer system and speech contrary to good morals. The former MP was sentenced to two months in prison.
